About Me
Dr. William "Bo" Rainbow is a lifelong horseman that grew up on a large commercial thoroughbred farm in Ocala, Florida. He was involved in all aspects raising thoroughbreds from breeding, foaling, sales preparation, and breaking. After he graduated from Davidson College in 2006, he was accepted into the prestigious Darley Flying Start Program (now Godolphin Flying Start). This scholarship afforded him the opportunity to travel around the world and learn the thoroughbred industry from some of the best horsemen and women on 5 continents. Once that program was completed, he attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation in 2012, he completed an internship at the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute before moving on to work in Australia and Texas before returning to Lexington, Kentucky.
In 2020, Dr. Rainbow started Lexington Equine Dentistry, LLC to provide high quality dentistry performed by a licensed veterinarian. In 2021, he started an equine dentistry residency with Dr. Jack Easley of Shelbyville, Kentucky in order to become a diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College.
The residency process involves logging hundreds of cases of with a wide variety of dentistry and oromaxillary facial surgical cases. In addition, to publishing original research, he will also be spending time learning from diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, American College of Veterinary Radiologist, and American College of Veterinary Anesthesiologists.
